The Schacht Hi-Lo Drop Spindles offer the best of both whorls: a brass hook at the top for high-whorl spinning and a grooved shaft for low-whorl spinning. Hi-Lo Spindles are made of hard maple in Boulder, Colorado.

We offer 2 sizes for a spectrum of spinning capabilities: 2″ (1 oz) or 3″ (1.8 oz). Choose the smaller spindle to spin lighter weight yarns, and the bigger spindle to spin medium weight yarns.

This kit includes:
1 Schacht Hi-Lo Drop Spindle (choose from 2" or 3" size)
4 half-ounce pieces of 100% U.S. merino wool fiber in assorted colors (for a total of 2oz fiber)
